I am having a lot of physical pain this evening. Every part of my body hurts. Everywhere. Normally, I have to deal with pain in my left foot, my left hip or my back. But very rarely is it all three causing pain together, along with everything else. My shoulders, neck and legs.
After I finished working on the edits in a manuscript this evening, which was the last of writing jobs to do for the day, I got up from my chair all set to go into the kitchen and do the dishes. (The best time for me to do dishes is when the baby's asleep but I hadn't had the chance when he took his afternoon nap today.) But right when I got up, pain just shot through me. It was like a huge weight pushing me down and crushing my bones. It was horrible.
So I took 3 Tylenol (not the usual two) and I am hoping it will help me to sleep tonight. Got to get up early in the morning tomorrow.
I don't know why it's so bad now. I wasn't in pain when I took Jen to school, ran errands, carried the baby around and moved stuff around in the house.
I have been doing an aerobics workout 3 times a week in the mornings. Maybe that is causing parts of my body that I don't normally exercise to feel pain. The workouts are only 20-30 minutes long. But I hadn't done one this morning. I only got about 4 1/2 hours of sleep last night, so I was too exhausted to exercise today.
Maybe it's dehydration. I haven't been drinking enough water, as I SHOULD be drinking more water.
Or it could be the changing seasons. The foot and hip pain are grievances I've had to deal with for some time. So I don't know.
At least it doesn't hurt so much when I am not moving around so much.
Maybe I just need more rest.
This has made me wonder, though: Is it possible that if someone carries around a deep, strong pain on the inside for so long, it can manifest into a real, physical pain? I wonder. I have been carrying pain around for so long. A sadness. Regret. I don't know if that's possible, but worth thinking about. If anything, it could be a story.

Of course its possible! Have you ever read Louise Hay's "You Can Heal Yourself"? It is based on that exact premise. You manifest illness when you think different thoughts, and specific thoughts cause specific illness and pain!
Check out that book, its old so its at the library for sure. I have a copy of it I got for a quarter at a garage sale about 5 years ago, its well worn let me tell you.
That said, you will eventually shed all illness causing thoughts but in the meantime treat yourself well and make sure your aerobic workout is not making things worse. Which workout is it? Is it a tape that you do? Or exercises out of a book. Certain things should not be done when you have back pain or you could cripple yourself. Aerobic...are you jumping around? Low impact!!! Get something low impact, you can get just as good results. Two to try are Carmen Electra "Fit to Strip" and Jorge Cruise "8 minutes in the morning" both terrific and at the library.

I don't use a tape for my workouts. I have my own kind of workout that I put together based on my experiences with physical education in school. Though it's been a long time since I have been in school! LOL Thanks for telling me about those tapes. I checked out Carmen's video. It had a lot of bad reviews on Amazon. :( I was actually thinking of trying a workout video by Jillian Michaels.
the only Carment electra video that I use is the Fit to Strip 2 video....there are others in the series that are very bad...but this one is FANTASTIC. I wouldnt stear you wrong, you cant beat it. Its a total body workout. Some people cant get past the word "Strip" LOL or even her name they just think oh some stupid sexy girl is making a tape, well think again. This workout tape is serious. I would challenge anyone of any fitness level to do this tape and not FEEL IT the next day. Heres my link so you can see the picture of the actual one I have...

I have a boxful of exercise videos, by many fantastic exercise gurus and this is the one I would recommend the most, even though it IS Carment Electra. Another one I like (but dont recommend for people with back problems) is Billy Blanks Tae Bo. I have the basic tape of that, but he has alot of new workouts out.
But Dawn if you are having severe pain I dont know if you should be doing these at all. I would say get a copy of Yoga for weight loss and start there because not only is it really good for you, it is GOOD for your back and legs etc. This is what it looks like:
